Application

The IRT Booster is ideal for powder coating operations handling a wide range of part sizes, from small components to larger industrial goods. It integrates seamlessly into overhead conveyor systems and supports dynamic production environments.

How It Works

The system uses infrared heating to rapidly increase the temperature of coated parts before they enter the convection oven. This preheating improves curing efficiency and allows for higher line speeds.

Smart sensor technology automatically detects the size of incoming parts and adjusts the heating zones accordingly:

• Width detection adjusts side positioning
• Height detection activates relevant heating zones
• Individual zones can be controlled from 0–100% power

Custom recipes can be created and stored to match different production requirements.

Performance Results

• Increased line speed from 1.0–1.2 m/min to 1.5–2.0 m/min

• Improved temperature consistency entering convection oven (approx. 120–180°C)

Energy Efficiency

The IRT Booster operates only when parts are present, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. By preheating parts efficiently, it also allows lower temperatures in the convection oven, further optimizing energy use.
