IRT PowerCure is an automated infrared curing arch designed for installation directly inside the spray booth. Instead of heating the entire booth and vehicle, PowerCure applies infrared energy only where it is needed – to the selected panels. The result is significantly shorter curing times, lower energy consumption and increased throughput without taking up additional workshop space. IRT PowerCure Energy Time Space Automated curing for selected panels PowerCure travels along rails installed in the spray booth and passes over the selected areas of the vehicle at a pre-programmed speed. The IR heaters are individually controlled to provide uniform heat distribution across the curing area. Turning side wings automatically adjust when the front or rear of the vehicle is selected, while laser distance sensing helps optimize heating of the bonnet, roof and boot. PowerCure is primarily designed for curing 1–3 vehicle panels, but can also be used for loose parts and complete vehicles. Designed around the repair process PowerCure adapts the curing process to the selected paint material and the size and shape of the vehicle. Sensors and microprocessors control parameters including power output, movement speed, distance and curing time. Because infrared energy heats the object rather than the surrounding booth air, the operator can re-enter the booth immediately after curing. Once the heated surface has cooled to room temperature, the vehicle can be polished or moved on to the next process. Product information
Save energy, time and space
Most repair jobs involve only one or a few panels. PowerCure activates only the IR lamps required for the selected curing area, rather than heating the entire spray booth. Individual lamp control and automatic positioning ensure that energy is concentrated where it is needed.
Select the panels and paint material on the touchscreen and start the curing process. PowerCure automatically moves to the correct position and controls the curing process. A typical repair can be cured in 10 minutes or less, followed by approximately 10 minutes of cooling before the vehicle can be polished or processed further.
PowerCure increases the drying capacity of an existing spray booth, reducing the need for additional booths purely to increase curing capacity. This leaves valuable workshop space available for other operations.
